Best Home Air Purifiers

If you have asthma or allergies, then you definitely notice the negative side effects of breathing in bad particles faster than someone who doesn’t have these conditions. Shortness of breath, a stuffy nose, and wheezing are sure signs that contaminants have been inhaled. There are millions of microscopic particles floating in the surrounding air. Some of these particles include outdoor air pollution while others are produced by indoor products. Unfortunately, no amount of dusting, vacuuming, or cleaning can ultimately fix the problem of airborne pollutants. By using an air purifier in your home, you can ensure that pollutants that cause breathing issues and health problems are eliminated from the surrounding airspace. Below are four different air purifiers for your home. Click on any image below for more details.

IQAir HealthPro Plus Air Purifier

IQAir’s exclusive HyperHEPA filtration technology can stop ultra fine particles down to 0.003 microns – 10x smaller than a virus! Independent testing verifies that IQAir HyperHEPA filtration stops at least 99.5% of all particles down to 0.003 microns for unequaled protection against fine and ultra fine particles, including bacteria and viruses. This powerful air purifier covers a room size of 1125 square feet. This unit has programmable operating options, remote control, filter life monitoring and color coded lights indicate when a filter change is needed. Some reviews have stated that the filters last up to 2-3 years or longer depending on use and how many impurities are in the air.

TruSens Air Purifier

Clean air should be everywhere, not just near the purifier. Placed across the room, SensorPod measures pollutants away from the purifier, than communicates with the purifier to ensure the whole room benefits from purified air. SensorPod air quality readings are displayed on the illuminated disc. Know when your air is good, moderate or poor and have the peace of mind that your purifier responds accordingly. TruSens delivers cleaner air everywhere, 360 degree DuPont filtration with washable pre filter, HEPA filter, carbon filter and UV sterilization. PureDirect proprietary technology splits cleaner air into two streams, delivering purified air comfortably and efficiently throughout the room. TruSens comes in three sizes, the largest one they have covers 750 square feet.

RabbitAir MinusA2 Air Purifier

The MinusA2 is designed to either standalone or to be mounted on the wall. A light sensor will automatically transition the unit to sleep mode when the MinusA2 is in a dark room, and resumes a more active mode when light levels increase. The MinusA2 SPA-780A/N air purifier can filter the air in a 815 sq. ft. room twice an hour on the highest setting. With filters lasting up to two years with 12 hour daily operation, and an Energy Star rated motor. Typical HEPA air purifiers trap allergens and contaminants, which accumulate on the filter and interfere with efficiency. The BioGS HEPA filter traps and reduces common allergens to support optimum filter efficiency and prolong filter life. Rabbit Air believes that you shouldn’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. Choose from their Artists Series featuring images by Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Katsushika Hokusai, and original designs by Rabbit Air’s creative team or lighten up your home with our Peanuts or Hello Kitty Special Edition air purifiers.

KeenPure Air Purifier

If your looking for a smaller, more affordable unit for your office or bedroom than KeenPure is the unit for you. The size is portable but its powerful enough to remove airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, such as dust, pollen, smoke, wildfire smoke, odor, pet dander, etc. 100% Ozone Free. Does not use UV or ions which produce trace amounts of measurable ozone, a harmful air pollutant. Adjust fan speed as you like (low, medium, high). The low speed can also be used as sleep mode, the noise is lower up to 30db, some users choose the high speed as white noise. It is perfect for rooms up to 182 square feet and the filters last around 8 months.

Breathe Cleaner Air

There are many air purifiers on the market and I have done research on a ton of them. These four that have listed have good reviews and will hopefully save you time in picking out the right unit. Do not confuse an air purifier with an air ionizer. They are two totally different products. Most purifiers use a series of HEPA, charcoal and various other kinds of filters to trap dirty air and some even include UV light sterilization to kill bacteria like the TruSens. An air ionizer operates by emitting negatively charged ions into the air. These ions attract positively charged ions, which includes things like allergens, dust and bacteria, and causes a bond to form between them. Once this bond is formed, the particles become heavier than normal. This weight increase causes the bonded particles to fall to the ground and or become trapped on an electrostatic collection plate. This is not the best idea for people with allergies because all those particles are left lying around waiting to be kicked back into the air by dusting or any air movement instead of being locked into a HEPA filter.
